Keep in mind, there's a pretty awesome roadhouse just down the block and their live music does carry a ways, but we were just LOVING that. Heck, we were dancing in our room to the free tunes!
You really can't review a B&B without reviewing the owner, so I'll just get that out of the way: Kate is awesome. Laid back and very involved with the B&B, she was a blast to talk with and made you feel like your stay was the sole purpose in her life. Amazing. Awesome.
Terrific spot, clean, a perfect location and great food. And there is lots to do in a quiet and safe little Chesapeake community. And Kate is a terrific hostess! I'll be back.

Now for a very important tidbit: most of the other inns in Rock Hall require a two-night stay, and are inflexible about this. The Black Duck Inn, however, is completely different-- if you're only in town for one night, Kate will be more than happy to accommodate you. Breakfast is brought to your door in a big wicker basket and it's loaded with the freshest food: fresh coffee, fresh orange juice, warm bread and warm coffee cake, fresh fruits... deee-lish. The grounds were beautiful, you have a lovely view of the harbor, the building was spotless and nicely decorated.
We set off for Rock Hall for a weekend away, knowing very little about the town. Kate was the best tour guide ever and the inn was a perfect home base for us. We loved the town, location and can't wait to go back.
